1) Because Fury will fight like a ring warrior, and Haye will run like a frightened chicken. Fury will make for a better fight.
2) Because Fury deserves it, Haye does not.
3) Because Haye may back out close to fight time, like he did in June 2009 against Wladimir, and in August 2009 against Vitali.
4) Because Fury is a future champion, while Haye is retiring.
5) Because Haye has already had a Klitschko fight, Fury has not.
6) Because Fury and his trainer are good people, Haye and Booth are a couple of con men.Comment

Do you happen to remember what reason Haye gave for pulling out of the 2009 Vitali fight? I remember he said he was injured for pulling out against Wladimir.Comment

No need, Freedom. I've found an article myself:
There entire article can be read here:After what appeared to be a done deal, boxing fans were again stunned when David Haye announced on Wednesday that he declined a fight with Vitali Klitschko, and instead agreed to face WBA champion Nikolai Valuev.
After pulling out of a much anticipated fight with Wladimir Klitschko due to what Haye classified as an injury, Haye declared that when healthy he'd gladly face Vitali or Wladimir if either were interested. After Vitali eagerly accepted, Vitali Klitschko-Haye was set down for September 12 in Frankfurt, Germany. The television deals were in place. A stadium that seats 55,000 fans was secured. Haye's date with Valuev is said to be November 7 in Germany.
As early as Tuesday, Klitschko's adviser Shelly Finkel was under the impression that a deal was in place and everything was ready to push through. Then all of a sudden - David Haye and his team vanished without a word. Finkel was later notified by letter that Haye was not going to fight Klitschko. Very little information as to why was provided.

Prophetically, the 1st 2 comments under the article suggest Haye was waiting for the Klitschkos to get older. 1 of them suggested he is waiting for them to reach 40, but in Vitali's case, he waited until he was 41.Comment

He'd have to fight his mandatory, the winner of Stiverne-Arreola next.
He said he doesn't want to fight Arreola again, and he doesn't want to have to deal with Don King to fight Stiverne.
He can have just one voluntary defense, against anyone ranked by the WBC.Comment
