that's not a terrible opinion of him. I think of him more as an underachiever who suddenly wants to make a run for a title in a weak division. he can beat Peter, who is ridiculously overrated. I'd love to see Briggs win that one

No offense, but Peter didn't have the stamina to beat Wladimir Klitschko. That's pretty embarrassing when you consider the fact that Klitschko has probably the worst stamina of any heavyweight contender today. If Peter had any stamina whatsoever, Klitschko would have been out in the 10th round.

****, me too!!!! I'd have to take Briggs- Even though Sam is mad powerful, he's too sloppy- He'd be drained by the 5th round-- Briggs by KO 6 rounds

This is how i see it.

It all depends on how much Peter has developed as a boxer. From what i saw in the Wlad fight, he lacks some basic fundamentals that every boxer needs. From what i heard, he was looking bad in the Hawkins fight. If he can pick up his game, get his act together and learn the fundamentals, his power will carry him through with Briggs. His chin is there, so Briggs' power is not an issue.

Another factor is Peter's confidence. If his confidence was smashed against Wlad, then his game is over - Punchers, much more than boxers, need confidence. No confidence, he won't throw punches, and won't do anything. Boxers can still stay away, dance around and jab their way to wins. Punchers can't.

Personally, i don't think Peter will up his game enough to beat Briggs.

                      I Predict Briggs UD

But i really hope Peter wins. Briggs' is the same old - even if he becomes champ, he'll never be remembered as great because he didn't do so well in the last heavyweight mix - and if he dominates, it will just make the division look bad rather than make him look good.

Also, if Peter loses, he won't really be considered anymore unless he wins big against a name fighter. IF he loses to Briggs', he's basically done - he'll be seen as a joruneyman rather than a contender, and the thing is, i think that with more experience, he could rule the division pretty well.

I HOPE peter wins. But i think Briggs will.
