Comments Thread For: Haye: Fury Should Fight Price, Proves He's The Best!

Former heavyweight champion David Haye would like to see Tyson Fury and David Price clash in an all-UK showdown. Price (15-0, 13KOs) has been chasing after Fury (20-0, 14KOs) since last year, but Tyson is not too interested in the match. Haye says Fury should accept and prove that he's the best out there.

Why don't you fight them, Haye, I thought you were the best?

Great fight if it happens, these domestic battles are always great.

Its very simple. If he fights a Klitschko and loses he can either make up a bulls**t (toe) excuse or he can say he got beat by the best heavyweights of this era.

If he loses against Price or Fury what can he say then? It would destroy his ego and he wouldn't be able to live with that.

Both Price or Fury would be big money fights so he can't use money as an excuse either.

It will happen eventually, people just need patience, and perhaps we'll need to wait for Fury's deal with Channel 5 to finish first.
I can see Haye fighting Fury in a few years, especially if he fights and loses to Vitali.

No it's just that if he fights Vitali and loses, yes he can say he lost to the best HW since LL. If he wins, he's a world champion. If he fights DP or TF and loses, he loses everything but if he wins the gains will be small. Plus, the money aren't that great. Neither DP or TF are household names in the UK and he could, maybe, make half what he did against Chisora whereas fighting Vitali would make him closer to what he made against Wlad/Audley + the gain is much more. Simple, really.

Not necessarily. Price has fought on BoxNation once or twice since Maloney lost his deal with Sky - so Price is not really bound to BoxNation, whereas Fury has a contract with C5 and that is terrestrial TV. It could be made either way really.

No David, Fury would probably take the Vitali fight if it was somehow offered and Vitali could leave you in the dust if he did that. Price and Fury have nothing to do with each right now other than two future obstacles on Haye's imaginary chessboard.

All 3 of them should try to get a Vitali fight...not saying he's a wounded animal but it's worth whatever risk there is. You could make a career just by putting up a good fight against Vitali, Haye knows this...sounds like he is trying to distract Fury and Price

You made some fair points but this ^^^^^^ isn't one of them in my opinion. Fury is shown on terrestrial tv and is just as well known as Chisora. Fury vs Haye makes money
