British heavyweight champion David Price (15-0, 13KOs) is ready to turn up the heat when he faces Tony Thompson (36-3, 24KOs) on February 23rd in Liverpool. Thompson has only lost twice since 2000, and both of those defeats came at the throne of the heavyweight king Wladmir Klitschko.

I'd prefer to see him get some rounds in...

    Thompson will fold, no doubt.

If Thompson is actually interested in fighting, this is a decent test. Sadly I don't think he is. He'll lie on the floor as soon as he takes a hard punch and go back to America a decent amount richer.

3 rounds or less is acceptable, anything more and it's a waste of time

Thomson gave some problems to Wlad in the early rounds.
If he show up as motivated and prepared this is actually a pretty decent test for Price.

Agreed. but at least there was a world title at stake before, now it's just a matter of a payday. He's being brought over there to lose, and I think he'll probably fold in 3.

Thompson is another old and shot victim on Price's resume. Fight Tyson Fury.

The British heavyweight champion is leaving the domestic scene behind next month as he takes on American Tony Thompson. It could be a fight that sets up a mid-summer clash with arch-rival Tyson Fury.

I'm pretty sure he would if Fury would.

Frank Maloney hasn't got the money to make the fight happen.
