    Jorge Fernando Castro

ANy news on how he is recovering,I thought he had a serious road accident in which he hurt his legs,I thought there would be more news/concern om him.

He is a veteran of 142 pro fights and even fought this yr if I not mistaken,Roy Jones junior describes him as his toughest opponent and toughest fight. He won Ring magazine fight of the year award in 1994 with one of his fights.

Guaranteed HOFer. 38 yrs old and won his last bout by KO over contender Derrick Harmon. Might have to retire because of his accident.

I sparred with Castro in Pensacola a few days before he fought Roy. He was a smaller guy but tough as nails with good power

A few years back Roy said Castro had given him his toughest fight to date.

What's your take on that Ice? What about Castro troubled Roy (by his own estimation)?

Castro is amazing. If it was not for his injury, he would would be going for another title shot.

I was there at the fight... basically , to me, it was just his UNUSUAL toughnes that didnt exactly trouble Roy.. but, I mean, RJ won every round and looked good doing it..but the guy was there in his face the whole way.. maybe they would have went 30 if it was set for that long

I think maybe your opinion of who is CREDIBLE is maybe clouded a bit. Just because a guy is no tunbeaten, a champion, or famous does not mean he is not credible. Solid names are on his list since 1997
