He did say just that, that he COULD had gotten KOed. In the same interview he said that he knew he was going to be very aggressive and that they were going to capatilize on that so they trained hard with that right hand that he KOed him with.

In the first fight, before either of them were doing anything dirty, Marquez's frame looked slightly bigger than Manny's . If your going to call out Marquez for not being clean, you have to put Manny right there with him and his head looks like it's added some size over the years. One of the differences in the 4th fight was Marquez was putting everything into each punch, all his power shots had bad intentions. He changed his strategy and it worked IMO.

that it did, he sacrificed accuracy for power and it paid off. never saw him look so clumsy. had the fight go on . either pac wins a clear decision due to jmm's clumsiness or the added power makes pac fade late with all those ignored bodyshots jmm was landing and dominates late. i swear lampley only called like a few of them and lord knows compubox ignored them too

Why do people act like its an insult to say Marquez might have been stopped? It was a great fight, both guys were doing damage. Marquez's face was getting messed up badly. Again, its a moot point because Marquez landed the KO shot, but people act like Marquez was not in any danger whatsoever.

Some people are delusional. It was a close fight but Pac was winning by a round and had serious momentum. Marquez was getting hit more often and had a broken nose. Although he was not dropped as hard as he was in their other fights, he was hurt more than he was in the past. I thought he was going to get stopped within the next 2 or 3 rounds.
I was very impressed with both guys in that fight.

i believe the only way to stop marquez is if you knock him cold or have him so hurt that you're just teeing off with nothing coming back at you. he's proven through the years that as long as he's throwing back, he deserves the benefit of the doubt, and rightly so.

Truth is, Marquez landed that huge right a lot of times during the fight, Pac was only able to take so many and he eventually got put to sleep. Marquez trained to land that punch, and Pacquiao had no answer for it whatsoever.
