The only thing that has been said as to why it wouldn;t happen is that Top Rank would prefer another fight before that one; if that is the case then it's once again Arum and co. putting money before what the fans want. In which case, as I said, no blame whatsoever would be on Donaire this time.

top rank did try for rigo to have a pre donaire fight but fell through.. and they put them on the same card for a reason they'd fight eachother next..now if rigo continues with he feb fight , would'nt that show he's not ready yet?

From what I reading, it's Top Rank pushing the feb date for Rigondeaux.

Rigondeaux has been calling for this fight for over a year, if he gets offered the fight next, he will take it.

Rigondeaux isn't a star attraction at this point, he wont have a say. Only the sports star attractions can be in control of when and who they fight. For the rest, the promoter tells then when and where.

If they offer him the fight in March, July or whenever else, he will take the fight. He's been looking for it for too long to care.

i find that hard to believe.. i dont think rigo is that dumb to re-sign with top rank when he cant even decide for himself when he is ready or not .. that's not believable at all unless one is a robot
