He beats Hopkins at this point, rather easily. But not 10 years ago.

There is plenty of argument, he might be shelved for the better part of a year....you don't fight, you lose your spot...time for reality to strike.

Tell Ward to make that move to 175 and find out if he has what it takes to beat old man Hopkins.

Right now yes, he probably should be P4P #1 or 2

ring magazine ususally allows for a year of inactivity, which seems appropriate to me. his fight with dawson was less than a year ago, and on its strength and his run as winner of the Super Six, he's ranked second p4p, and appropriately so. when such a time comes that he's been inactive for longer than a year we can discuss removing him from his current spot.

Ward is the P4P BEST fighter in the sport...Ward carried one of B.Hop's belts to the ring when he was MW king...peep Hopkins vs Eastman...Ward is holding B.Hop's WBA strap up in the air...years later, that would be the first world title Ward would capture...crazy

ward would probably stop hopkins at this stage in his career. old man hopkins is getting close to fifty. he'd certainly put his gloves on him better than any of the other fighters hopkins has faced of late. pascal hurt him. ward is 10X the fighter of pascal.

                  Yup, he's that good.

He's one of the "New Generation" boxers I can believe the hype.

He would have a solid chance even against a prime Hopkins (great fight). Right now he'd handle him easily, Hopkins is far past prime. He can still win certain style match-ups, but not against someone on Ward's level.
