then why the hell are you even mentioning Fight Night? LOL. how real the game is. Fight Night isn't a simulation, it is an arcade style boxing game.Originally posted by YamanWhatever man. Its about how real the game is for me.
Know what they got that the Victorious Boxers series doesn't? Parrying, that is it. Which is ****** for all boxers to parry anyhow since most don't.
Now I'll give EA credit. They keep trying every year despite having no competition. So for that, they deserve props, and I willingly give them props. But to say their game is that good, when there is another game out there that is so much better you'd cream yourself, I won't do it.
If FN R3 is better than the VB series, I'll be the first one on here saying how wrong I was. But I know that isn't going to happen. These gay ass haymakers ruin the gameplay. Styles, we'll see how well they pull that off. From what I've read, it looks cheesy and simplistic.
Believe me, Fight Night is a long long way from being anything like realism. If it were a simulation, they would have a lot more than 8 attributes. They have a power rating, but no strength ratings of any kind. They have a speed rating, but what does that mean exactly? Speed, how fast the boxer moves? How fast he punches? These are different categories. The VB games have over 60 attributes. They also have a lot of muscle groups on the fighters. They differentiate between biceps and forearm muscles. They differentiate between calf muscles, thighs, and a 3rd leg muscle. Back muscles, neck muscles, abs, chest, shoulders, etc. How fast you can twist your body (to dodge, duck, lean in, etc). Stamina and Endurance are two different ratings. The fighters have metabolism. They even have specific blood types!
VB2 also has all 17 weight classes. What does Fight Night have? 5? LOL, yeah that's real. VB2 also has all 4 major world titles (WBC, IBF, WBA, WBO), AND international titles (OPBF, GBBA, etc), AND National titles (USBC, JBC, etc).
Arenas? I don't even know how many arenas they have. At least 30 around the world.
VB2, you actually have to train your fighter. Not that BS on Fight Night games. You get a calender where you specify the training days, sparring days, rest days. You specify your training routine.
You have a diet. There are TONS of foods that you choose for your fighter to have. You make meals and schedule when in the day the fighter eats (like you set say 3 meals every day at 5 am, 12 pm, 7 pm).
You have different levels for Carbs, Amino Acids, Fats, Water, Minerals, and Vitamins. The higher your metabolism, the faster you burn fat.
You have REAL WEIGH INS. You have to make weight for your fights. Depending what country you fight in, you weigh in either the day before the fight or the day of the fight (US is day before of course). If you fail to weigh in, you get two more shots to get off some water weight. If you still fail to weigh in, you have the match but you don't improve in the rankings.
Real Boxers are in the game! They have fake names for copyright reasons, but they're real boxers. You want Mike Tyson? He is in Victorious Boxers 2! He is NOT in Fight Night! They have a lot of real Japanese boxers, thai boxers, etc. Then boxers we know here in the US:
Tyson
Foreman
Ali
Frazier
Leonard
Alexis Arguello
Carlos Ortiz
Fernando Vargas
Jack Dempsey
Rocky Marciano
Jake LaMotta
Sugar Ray Robinson
Vaughn Bean
Jimmy Wilde
JC Chavez
Kid Chocolate
Larry Holmes
Marvin hagler
Felix Trinidad
Sandy Sadler
Salvador Sanchez!!!
Tommy Hearns
Klitschkos
Danny Lopez
Bob Foster
Antonio Cervantes
De La Hoya
That's 28 or so right there.
There are more but you get the idea. For instance, all the Punch Out characters are on it. All the Ring King characters are on it.
And VB2 has vastly different styles. Styles that are tried and true. Fight Night, we'll have to wait and see, but I wouldn't count on those styles being better than the VB2 styles. Or even as good as I don't think, but we'll see.

whatever dumbassOriginally posted by YamanOpinions man, opinions. To say its a fact that its not the best game is dumb.
I supported my opinion with facts. There is such thing as a wrong opinion. It was Hitler's opinion that ***s should be killed, he was wrong.
It is your opinion that Fight Night R3 will be the best game to date. You're [probably] wrong.Comment

what platforms is that other boxing game on?
and I really want to know why u say it takes about 2-3 years for a boxing game to be made? because it takes people about a year to come out with the beseball gaes and ect. and so I really don't see anything different for that and a boxing game.Comment

The game you're talking about doesn't even COMPARE to fn3. Obviously you don't know anything about boxing-games. You should stick to playing Miami vice nintendoOriginally posted by masterdirectorwhatever dumbass

and how much do those games change from year to year? not very much. there isn't a huge difference in NBA Live 2004 and NBA Live 2006. Maybe some new features, new roster. Maybe some tweaked gameplay, but the general gameplay is about the same.Originally posted by Stone Coldwhat platforms is that other boxing game on?

For a game to get a major overhaul like the Fight Night series needs, there has to be more time for development. For a real simulation game, you're going to need more time to make any significant improvements. Look at those Gran Turismo games. Those don't just come out every year.
Victorious Boxers 2 is available for the Playstation 2 only. But so far it has only been released in Japan. You have to modify your Playstation to be able to play it. This is a lot easier than it sounds. It costs $32 to modify your Playstation. You can google fliptop cover or swap magic disc and read more. Or PM me if you'd like.
If you want to see video of the game, scroll up to where I linked to another topic where I've listed several videos from the game.Comment
