Honestly, Zab's immaturity, in not utilizing the ten count to regain his faculties, cost him the fight. But, he never looked OUT to me. A guy who gets up before the one count is not out. However, he went crashing back into the canvas which is why Nady stopped the fight.
Still a great win by Tszyu, and a lesson well learned by Judah.
Can you really dispute the stoppage though. Zab provided clear evidence that his head wasn't clear. Had the fight continued and Zab had been hurt, Nady would have been crucified and justly so. At the time of this bout, Judah simply was not disciplined enough to fight 12 precise rounds against a hall of fame opponent. Unless he has matured enough to do this now, he has zero chance against Mayweather.
No. I actually believe Main Events rushed Zab's career like they have done with many of their fighters including Bojado, Vargas etc. Talent-wise Judah was expected to mop the floor with Tszyu. Remember Tszyu made his name off of KO'ing Judah. Judah was the favorite the win the fight. Kostya knew that he couldn't match Judah's handspeed, footspeed, and elusiveness.
But, being the veteran fighter that he is, he knew he could match Judah's strength and power. And he had the "experience" factor over Judah, which indeed won Kostya the fight. Judah made a costly mistake, and Kostya took what the fight gave him. He's a great fighter. Believe it or not, that loss has/will make Judah an even better fighter.
funny, but no reason to hate on a great boxer like zab, wat has he done to give u a reason to not like him? and by the way, u think if u got it the ring with kostya in back then u would have done better?nuh uh
Whatever. Which of them do you think is going to be more successful by the end of their career? Zab got knocked out once and lost a highly debatable points decision to Spinks, before destroying him in the rematch. Tszyu has been knocked out and quit on his stool. Zab is currenly the undisputed Welterweight Champion, the only undisputed champion in the sport.
