Hatton was exceptional on the inside, his entire career was built on it. Ward is exceptional too.

1. Hatton is indeed an exceptional inside fighter

2. KT was past it, had come back from long injury layoffs and struggled to make weight.

3. You are again being hypocritical and intellectually dishonest. In the same way you assert Cortez didn't allow Hatton enough rope to fight inside, similarly the UK ref in the KT fight allowed Hatton to wrestle and hug KT to death.

4. When they did fight inside, Floyd got the best of Hatton anyway.

Hatton is very underrated on here. It's a symptom of Pacturds and Flomos concurrently attempting to discredit both Floyd and Pac's wins over Hatton. Just think about how absurd that is for the moment.

No. Tszyu quit on his stool and never complained and had all the respect in the world for Hatton after the fight. Think a lot of people are forgetting about infighting. I think Cortez was too quick to break up the action and allowed next to no infighting but I do agree with you that Hatton would never have beaten Mayweather or Pac which is no disgrace as they will go down as 2 of the greatest fighters in history but that doesn't mean he should have stayed in England. Yeah he got KO'd in those fights but he earned the right to have ago and had some success in America like the Castillo and Malignagi fights

Hatton is probably the most underrated fighter in recent times, he was the man at 140 until he lost to the two best fighters, in any weight class, of this era. Not to mention he was small for a lightweight, let alone a light-welter - Welterweight? Let's not even go there...

Hatton had great footwork and underrated speed, the fact that he t-rex arms was always going to be a big hinderence against the very best but, he can be proud of his achievements.
