Does this boxer have any amateur background?

He is fighting tomorrow on ESPN in a four rounder (Hairon Socarras). Wiki and other online articles says he has no amateur experience and turned pro, commentators in the clip say otherwise. He is fighting another undefeated guy from around here who is undefeated also. Should be a good scrap while it last

Good question. I wish I had an answer for you. I'd like to know myself. I'll bet someone around here knows.

Socarras turns 20 later this month. This will be his seventh pro fight. (His opponent has the same amount of pro experience.) Hairon spars (at least on occasion) with Guillermo Rigondeaux, so he must get some nice work in. The kid knocked out his first four adversaries, but drew in his fifth fight and went the distance in his last outing. I'm curious to see how he looks this time out.

Damn he floored his opponent. I think I heard ESPN say he has 145 amateur fights. He can punch
