Canelo vs Trout should absolutely happen. They haven't picked an opponent because they're still 4 months out, but I think Canelo definitely beats Trout. Canelo is faster, stronger, and snappier than the version of Cotto Trout just fought.

Trout didn't beat Cotto so badly that he looked like a force to be reckoned with.

Trout will be a sure step up but he's not nearly as tough as the Paul Williams fight would have been had that gone down like it should have. Alvarez beats Trout with body punches.

Canelos inferior defense provides a playground for a kid like TROUT. a simple boxing mind can see that.TROUT will not be in his way to receive them POWER blows you dream about,or have witnessed against lesser opposition. Top of all that, he can't take a punch like Cotto.
