Floyd has fought good names, but be it his fault, Arum's fault, or whomever, he didn't fight a good amount of the names on his resume in their primes. Whether his fans care or not makes no difference because they'll be fans till the end, but I don't think it's more of Floyd just being so much better than everyone more than picking the right fights at the right time. But I do think he will have a little * for not fighting Pac after all is said and done (though I think he would've beat Pac).
WHAT WILL BE mAYWEATHER'S CROWN ***EL?

Floyd Mayweather Jr., widely regarded as the pound-for-pound king, will challenge welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir Nov. 4 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
...."The Mayweather camp also had conversations with handlers for former junior welterweight champ Kostya Tszyu, who hasn't fought since losing his title to Ricky Hatton 14 months ago. Those talks, however, quickly died when it became apparent that Tszyu wasn't going to fight for the rest of the year. "Comment

Don't get me started on Broner, him and Keith Thurman have such a bright future but we hear about the 30 year old Donaire, if he had struggled he would get more propsFloyd is a victim of being too good!! All his high profile fights turn into him dominating whoever he fights and it's easy to forget them. You can actually see the same thing in Adrien Broner, totally dominating anybody to the point that AFTER the fight, people are screaming "but who has he beat". While he's calling all the champions and top dogs out, just like Floyd used to, they duck him and say anything to not fight him.
I also noticed Broner was on none of this sites fighter of the year, contender of the year, or even "future" prospects of the year list. Now how can GGG be labeled as such a beast/future champion after one good showing, while Broner is destroying the top dogs, being avoided, and in the future some will say "but who has he beat". So I just feel being that good can hurt you.Comment

More like they had more reason why Floyd wouldnt fight them!he also could've had ODH and SHane prime, but just like Cotto, and Kosta, and Manny, they found reasons not to fight Floyd.
The truth is way before floyd fought ODH, he had very little fan support, which meant guys could tell him no. Why you guys wont admit that is strange.Comment

Pacquiao was there for the taking.
Take 50/50, which still would have left him with a huge, huge cut - more than he'd make in any other individual fight - beat Pac, humiliate Arum, get that defining win.
It was all there. He's his own boss. He didn't have a bitter promoter ducking and ducking the fight like Arum was doing (the stadium, the cut, etc).
All he had to do was want it bad.
Not say, as he did on Costas show, that he couldn't afford to, absolutely not, accept 50/50.
Floyd should have been all over the Pacquiao fight. All over it.
Pac vs Marquez 4 has sated my appetite for the huge megafight that would have represented the sport phenomenally. But while I'm over it, it's hard for me to forgive Mayweather and Arum for making the sport looking monumentally ****** and pathetic with their refusal to make a fight that, on so many levels, made so much sense.Comment

Name yes. Fanbase that supported, no. Hell Baldo did 325k, and that was post GAtti.
Shane had a toothache. Kosta said no. The Cotto stuff has been posted numerous times. Same as manny. ODH at least just said not now and kept it real.
Look man, hate floyd all you want. Thats cool. But don't act like you don't know the truth.Comment
