Comments Thread For: Donaire is Ready For Mares, Rigondeaux, Anyone

WBO, Ring Magazine and WBC super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire expects to have an even better 2013 following what he called an “incredible year” in 2012 when he won the 122 pound title and successfully – and impressively – defended it three times.

yah it's annoying how they count interims as legit world titles...same thing with guerrero.. guerrero is only a two weight world champion but because he won a couple of interim belts it makes him a 4 weight world champion..

Yep, the difference being, Donaire despite never going beyond interim was easily the best at 115. The beltholders were Vic, who wasn't too eager to rematch, and Narvaez.

There always seem to be a difference with Donaire

His fans always get so offended when I say he should be at 130 by now.

He KTFO Vic, and shut Narvaez out 1 division apart. Do you have any doubt he would have done the same at 115? Basically any doubt he was the best at 115, despite only holding an interim belt?
