Larry Merchant's goodbye

Didn't always agree with him, but always enjoyed having him around. The tribute was great. Too many bitter guys around here can't see the bigger picture and appreciate what he really brought to the broadcast.

I agree 100%. He is a legend, a living Legend.

Biggest compliment i can pay him is IMO a prime Larry Merchant KO's Floyd Mayweather.

Nah seriously though, even though he started to annoy me in recent years i'll definitely miss the guy and i agree he is a legend.

I wish him the very best with his retirement.

Sure Larry Hater Merchant is gone and I for one am so glad to see him gone. For the past 5/10 years the guy was a disgrace to the sport of boxing. Dude should have retired years ago, anytime a guy is that close to the fight & still don't know who's getting punch should have been left. Hey Larry hope you never step foot into another arena where a fight is being conducted, you disgraced all who have commentated fights that knew something about the sport of boxing. See ya fool.......

The only things I remember about Larry Merchant

1-
is when he was hyping Wlad up like Wlad was a living God prior to the Sanders fight.
"wladimir is a BIGGER UKRAINIAN OSCAR DE LA HOYA'
'HE'S BOXING JAMES BOND'
WLAD WLAD WLAD !!$$$$$$@#@@@@@ WLADDIMIR.
And he was all up on Wlad's ***ing nuts.. than Wlad got knocked the *** OUT.. lmfao.

and Merchant was like 'Well I guess he's over'
that was funny as hell.

2- When Wlad was fighting against Brewster and Merchant was like
'HE'S back, he's back.. amazing wow Wladimir such power.. wow wow'
than Brewster knocked Wlad the *** OUT.. lmfao
and Merchant was like 'ok this time it's REALLY OVER, his run is over'

Seeing Merchant's favorites get totally exposed is harilous.


3- When Merchant tried to talk shyt to Lewis after tko6.
and Lennox GRABBED the mic from this old ***'s hands and said
Listen to me you listen 'look at the state of his face... I was gonna knock him out in another couple rounds.. they lucky they stop the fight look at the state of his face'

and whenever Merchant try to talk Lewis just replay the same line
'look at the state of his face'


Floyd could never own Merchant like Lennox did, because Lewis was a 6'5 giant that could literally squash Merchant's life away.


I'm glad he's gone..

He was extremely bias towards Lewis and he nut hugged Klitschkos too much.
