If Joe Calzaghe beats Jeff Lacy not by a close decesion but a ko or lopsided decesion, does he get your respect or better yet, put him on your p4p ranks?
If Calzaghe wins, more respect?

Well, I don't know, really. Everyone pretty much agrees that Lacy is the real deal, and MANY posters are saying Lacy will be top 10 p4p if he wins, so why wouldn't Calzaghe be top 10 if he beats Lacy? That would be his defining fight. He's beaten some of the better guys Lacy has beaten and then some, and beaten better, younger versions of them in some cases. He would be the best fighter at 168, hands down, and unbeaten, unified champion. Reid, Mitchell, Sheika, Eubank, Veit, Lacy, etc. That's a fairly strong list, really. I'd actually say it's as good as Hopkins' win list when he was thrusted into the p4p beating a welter trying to move up in Trinidad. Or even better than SSM's when he was thrust into it with one big win over DLH.
I don't know. I'm going to go against the grain here and say that the winner of Calzaghe/Lacy does creep into the the bottom rung of top 10 p4p, especially if the win is impressive. Especially considering there's a good chance that one or more of the top p4p guys are going to lose at the beginning of the year and inevitably drop. Mayweather/Judah, Castillo/Corrales, Morales/Paq, etc.Comment
