K1 president Scott Coker, and local promoter Tom Moffatt, sat together yesterday and discussed the proposed event, which will more than likely take place sometime in September at the Aloha Stadium. Tyson’s opponent would be Jerome LeBanner, who boasts an impressive kickboxing record of 30-9-1, and is currently 5-0, as a professional boxer.
Moffatt would like to have the card look something like this: with local fighters, Teddy Limoz and Samson Po'uha and Hawaiian prospect Brian Viloria, but no official plans have been ironed-out. Moffatt said he expects to approach 30,000 in attendance and told the commission that it was looking at 100 million viewers on pay per view.
