He never seems to back down from a fight. He fought Margarito when it seemed as though none of the top WW wanted anything to do with him. He fought both Mayweather and Pacquiao and he took a risk by fighting Trout who while realtively unproven, was a young talented undefeated fighter. Miguel along with Juan Manuel Marquez and Carl Froch are some of the fighters I respect the most. They seem to fight anybody with no questions asked.

he wasn't supposed to lose to Margarito this was his coming out party to PPV kind of like Floyd vs Gatti so no it wasnt a huge risk low reward fight
Money was the only reason he took a catchweight fight he himself said wasn't comfortable with it pretty much he was supposed to lose to Pacquiao and Mayweather
