Chicharito is pretty popular in Mexico

Marquez might have won but Jenni Rivera died the next day and her death just killed all the media hype around Marquez's win. it had 24-7 coverage on most spanish language media. her death was huge

Canelo is quickly losing creditablity amoung fans in Mexico. they're a lot harsher than his fans on this site. a lot of sports writers down there think he's just an ATM machine for GBP. Canelo could be easily be #1 if he fought better opponents

I'm not talking goals, I'm talking skill. Hernandez scores 'cause he gives 120% and always is in the right spot.

This guy doesn´t deserve it, Mr. important didn´t want to go to the olympics.

Mexican athlete of the year must be Oribe Peralta, he made history for México.

so a pretty average footballer beats one of the greatest boxers ever from mexico? interesting. and utd fans dont give me that crap about hernendez being amazing he is just a goal poacher. if that is the best mexico have to offer they might as well not bother turning up for the worldcup

Football is the world's biggest sport. It is what it is

and for a Mexican to be making such an impact in EUROPE. At such a young age playing for one of the most famous clubs in the world?

Of course he deserves it. He's only 24... 2 years maybe 3 years away from his true prime, I expect him to average around 25-30 goals a season in another 1-2 years.
