Comments Thread For: Arce Has No Regrets Over Ending Career With KO Loss

Most fighters would like to retire on a winning note, but it rarely happens. Mexico's Jorge Arce (61-7-2, 46KOs) was hoping to retire with a big win. Instead he was knocked out in three rounds by WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire on December 15th in Texas. Arce retired after the match was over.

Half of his life committed to boxing, and the last half of his life dedicated to his family is the best every boxer should do. Nice call champ, and with your 70fights you imparted in boxing are more than enough to boxing world to remember you for centuries!

Anyone who gets through that many fights and so many wars and is still healthy with money in the bank deserves a happy retirement. Good call.

he quit against that rojas kid and was making excuses shortly before he got knocked the **** out by donaire. ain't right to end a career that way and he knows it. he'll be back. probably with some bum from tijuana.
