Chavez holds records for most successful consecutive defenses of world titles (27), most title fights (37), most title-fight victories (31) and he is tied with Joe Louis for most title defenses won by knockout (21). Chávez also has the longest undefeated streak in boxing history, 13 years. His record was 89-0-1 going into his first loss to Frankie Randall and had an 87 fight win streak until his draw with Whitaker.

That cinches it for me. JCC is GOAT.
Anybody disagree?

Are you talking about the Maxim fight? 132-2, 31 years old, and fighting in 104 degree heat, which the ref had passed out in. He couldn't get off his stool for the 14th round. He subsequently retired for 3 years.
You could argue that Chavez quit against Randall to get the win, or got stopped against Oscar and Tszyu, while quitting against Oscar and Grover.
Robinson was never stopped.

Now throw that in with the fact that the numbers say Chavez is the GOAT.
I know its hard to shelve a sacred cow from the golden days of boxing. Its a difficult thing to do because they eventually come to reside in pugilist heaven, both in memory and reputation. Nevertheless, they are all just mortal men. And Robinson was one of those.
Robinson is now #2.
