DAVID HAYE has urged WBC champ Vitali Klitschko to sign up for
their world title fight — or be remembered as the man who fought nobodies.
Britain’s former heavyweight champ lost his WBA crown to Klitschko’s younger brother Wladimir in Hamburg last year.
But Haye is still eyeing one last fight before retiring and says a contract has been agreed with the 41-year-old Ukrainian — although nothing has been signed.
The Hayemaker, 32, blasted: “I always assumed he was quite a proud man and wanted to leave some sort of legacy behind, which he won’t do at the moment, because, can you think of any big fighters Vitali has fought?
“He’s had 50 fights against nobodies. The only fight of his that people remember is the one against Lennox Lewis — which he lost.
“He needs a fight people will actually remember — and the only recognised heavyweight out there is myself.”
