If you're on about Rees, the fact Burns hasn't fought him yet shows you how far behind Rees is. That fight would've happened in a heartbeat if Rees was the tiniest bit relevant.

I can't understand what's up with these promoters picking the Brits before they've reached that level. Look how shallow Martinez's resume is because of his recent opposition.

Yet we had people on here defending Sergio Martinez for fighting Darren Barker at the time, and still defending Martin Murray for christ sake....

I'm not a fan of Rees-Broner, but it's a stay busy fight. The other fights against Beltran, J. Murray, Mitchell, would be just as ehhhhh at best. Hopefully Burns stops avoiding Broner.

Damn that is just insane. "Broner #5 p4p".

It is what it is at this point. The LW division isn't deep at all, and Gavin Rees is a regional fighter at best.

Should be good for a KO on a card with another KO in the making, Banks/Mitchell.

Listen, if a Brit is fighting an you're unsure on their quality - consult me.

A lot of the people defending the likes of Barker/Murray/Rees just look at resume and don't know what they're looking at. Burns isn't avoiding Broner, his management team are. He's managed by Morrison and promoted by Warren, so there may be conflicts there.

I only make the distinction, not because I'm pedantic, but Burns is a good guy and looked genuinely embarrassed with the Walsh fight. He'll fight anyone, anywhere and wants to rack up a 100 fight record. He'll fight Broner at some point this year hopefully and it should be a good contest.

And he's got a style that will give Broner problems or, at the very least, show us more of what's really behind all the flash.

He was obviously talking about it won't matter which guy he fights, he'll make good money. Floyd could fight anyone today, and make good money.
