Broner just finished fighting the #1 ranked guy in the division, and tried to fight another top ranked fighter to unify. Abril is fighting Bogere for the WBA title, and Vazquez works with Zanfer, who works with Top Rank closely, and I have doubts that HBO wants him back in a main event after what we witnesses on the Pac undercard with he and Gesta. Besides, I can see Gamboa getting the Vazquez fight in his next 1-2 fights probably.

Who else is there for Broner to fight at 135, aside from Ricky Burns right now??? Murray, Beltran, Mitchell, etc??? Rees isn't going to beat Broner, but he's staying active fighting every 3-4 months and at least it's against someone in the Top 10. Not Broner's fault that Burns would rather take a pointless tune up than the biggest payday of his career and biggest fight of his career so far against Broner in February.

Isn't HBO giving Mitchell and Dawson another shot on the network? They're boring clinchers. Im pretty sure if they are going to show Broner vs "Rees" on HBO then they would not have a problem with Vazquez, which would have been a much better fight. seems to me that you will defend broner no matter what though. some people are too focused on nationality

I don't see Vasquez's team doing business with Haymon. Forget that fight.

That said, this fight sucks...just like every other Broner match thus far in his career.

I believe beltran deserved the fight ever since he beat lundy.That
