Well, when Martinez himself said he can make 154, I don't see why Floyd fans are gonna act like their word is greater than his.

he's not the biggest middlweight i've seen, compared to taylor, hopkins, even jones...chavez looked like a supermiddleweight in there with him...floyd can fight him make it happen...lol

Talk is cheap, if Martinez says he can make 154 and be health then please fight at 154 in his next fight, no point in saying I can make 154 easy but I don't fight at 154, no point in saying he comes in at 158 for a 160 when he hasn't fought at 154 for four years, Mayweather should go to 160 and fight Martinez there for his own legacy, anyone trying to drain Martinez by asking to make a weight he hasn't made in four years are just ******.

He rehydrated to 167 against Chavez Jr. When he fought in jr middleweight, he rehydrated to 164. We're talking just an extra 3 pounds here. He'll be fine at 154.

Where was your rehydration source for the JR fight? I don't remember fight night weight.

Thomas Hauser was there for the unofficial weigh in for Martinez, but since Chavez didn't do it, HBO didn't show it.
At HBO’s request, Martinez went next-door to be weighed on “the unofficial HBO scale.” Chavez refused a similar request. Sergio had gained eight pounds since the weigh-in. The assumption was that Julio would enter the ring at close to 180.

bollocks. you dont know what floyd weighs on a fight night because he doesnt allow himself to be weighed most of the time. he weighed in at 151 against cotto, he is apparently the number 1 fighter at 154.

but anyway, your own hero has told you before, skills pay the bills, weight dont mean ****. if he is as great as he claims to be, he will have no problem beating martinez at 160. after all, he is the best of all times so he says.

at the end of the day martinez will be about half a stone heavier than ortiz was, skills pay the bills and all that.

I don't know how anyone can advocate for this fight at 154, this fight if ever happens should be at a healthy weight, that way both guys get all the credit that they deserve, If Martinez beat Mayweather then It wouldn't have too much effect on his career or legacy and if Mayweather wins it a great win for his legacy, 154 would be another excuse for a 38 year old who hasn't fought at the weight for years, it would be the say old story if the fight ever happens there..
