It'd be an alright scrap, for sure; but it won't happen.

Froch is contractually obligated to rematch Bute; he has a mandatory in waiting (Stevenson), and he's talking-up a rematch with Ward.

Then you have the domestic SMW fighters, DeGale and Groves, who, by the fall of 2013, should be in the world title mix. All of these make more $$$ than Pascal.

    You're right, though. It'd be a good'un.

Froch said he will fight Pascal again. However, I don't see him moving up. Can Pascal still make 168?

we all saw what happened to the last guy who tried to do it. froch definitely has the frame to move up and challenge for a title.

If Froch ever did move up, that would be a good test the waters fight for him.

That would be an exciting fight again. Are people forgetting the first one? That was one of the best fights I saw in 2008.

Froch only rehydrates at super middleweight on fight night by 4 or 5 lb's and has admitted he will never fight at lightheavyweight.

Froch said he was only 172 lb's against Bute

The only reason Froch considered moving up was that Pascal was the lineal champion at the time and if he run out of options by losing at 168lb's it would have been a decent payday.

Froch has been pretty resistant to the idea of moving up when it has been put to him. I suspect he thinks the 175lbers might well crack his chin, he does take a lot flush.

He was keen on a Pascal rematch when asked, having said he gave JP his word on a rematch after the first fight.
