Wouldn't you agree that Froch is the more natural 168lb fighter? I'm not sure Pavlik's power carries up at the weight to the same degree.

Ward's afraid of Kelly's power, I can understand as Kelly is a devastating puncher. Ward is always claiming injury for something, doesn't he work with Conte? Certain supplements are known to cause ligament injuries.....just saying, someone may want to look into this.

If Ward sits out until September, who will be there for him to fight when he comes back? Froch beats Kessler or Kessler beats Froch, the winner of that fight does what exactly? Maybe Froch rematches Bute should he win, and that fight won't transpire until June or July at the earliest. Most likely, both Froch and Bute will be tied up around the time Ward is ready to fight again and Kessler will probably have a fight around too.

After the time off, it'll probably be time to move up and fight the big boys at 175. Let the fun begin.....

These injuries are killing Wards career, as far as relevancy.

What is this, his 3rd fight in the last few years that he has had to postpone?

He leaves to much time between fights to stay relevant. The Froch win was a big fight that he needed to ride momentum on but the hand shelved that.

Now he crosses over to HBO, gets a huge win, goes up to #2 p4p, and is shelved again with surgery.

I don't know if Pavlik is "done." I think the Ward fight was a total mismatch though and would have been detrimental to Pavlik's career.

BScene's now running a story where Pavlik could fight AA. That to me, is a very winnable fight and a great opportunity to revive Kelly's career

If Pavlik were to actually get a win over someone like Abraham, Bika, Dirrell, than I wouldn't mind a Ward fight. But it was a crappy fight to have next.

ward needs the exsposure and kelly needs the paycheck. I actually thought this was a good "prize" fight for both, knowwhatimean?

Ward's style is very physical so I guess these injuries aren't wholly surprising. I agree though, when fit he should try to fight as often as he can.

Yeah, I didn't object to this one either on the basis that Ward had already fought everyone else and it was a win-win for Pavlik financially and if he lost, it was (once again) to the best.
