Taras Shelestyuk is turning pro

Taras Shelestyuk, who won bronze at welterweight in the 2012 London Olympics, is turning pro.

He says he's had several offers from European promoters but will sign with an American promoter.

Out of all the boxers on the Ukrainian team Shelestyuk is the guy im least excited to see turn pro. In spite of winning Gold at the World Championships and Bronze at Olympics he's the least talented and impressive out of all them. He fights similar to Kotelnyk or Dzinziruk with a high guard, some head movement, very good counter punching, great fundamentals. He did beat Serik Sapiyev who won Gold at the Olympic and the Val Barker so Taras is very good at what he does and can be successful with it but im not expecting anything extraordinary from him.
