probably the best thing is, fight guerrero as a tune up, then fight martinez at 154 or manny if manny gets a couple comeback wins, then retire with a canelo fight once canelo is more experienced. Not saying that will happen but those are realistic options and the best case scenarios for the fans

Floyd fights whoever makes him big money with the least risk. A few years back Williams earned a fight with Floyd but he did not get one. Look at Floyd's last few fights. Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez and Hatton. Their all good fighters but nothing special. At the time Marquez fought Floyd he had never beaten a welterweight. Floyd does not have to fight Canelo because he is a welterweight. If Canelo fought Trout do you think Floyd would fight the winner? I don't think so.

Floyd's over 40 and retired, plus he hasn't really fought any top guy for years. The only fans who say Floyd is ducking Alvarez are straight up morons.

Canelo was rigged to play soft for Floyd. At the time, Floyd was ducking Pacquiao and his Showtime fights vs hired paties were not selling well. So under pressure from Les Moonves, Haymon had to set up Canelo to throw the fight to Floyd. Canelo was a big money draw Floyd could piggy back off. Haymon rigged it via Schaefer. Canelo got his million dollars purse plaus a $5m bonus for throwing the fight. The fight sold well because the Mexicans bought it. De La Hoya knew it was rigged and did not show up, Julio Cesar Chavez also knew it was fixed and did not show up for the biggest fight in Mexican boxing history.

Floyd knows he had no chance to beat Canelo in a real fight and thus never mentioned the rematch. Canelo also knew he was not allowed to demand a rematch because he would never get it. Oscar knows it will never happen also. So they just leave rematch talk alone.

Floyd was a total fraud after 140 and signing with Haymon after buying out of Top Rank to avoid Margarito.
