Tired of seeing him fight nobodies. DiBella apparently sucks, because any decent promoter would have had him cleaning up 154 a long time ago. Kirkland, Cotto, Trout, Canelo, anyone?? Jesus

Just because you are new to boxing and a fool, I will try to help you just ONCE then ignore anything you write.
This is boxing
matches are made
any champion should fight anyone, or all comers in their division
the paying public like to see challenges , great fights , not one dominate fighter take on all washed up fighters just so his resume reads ****0****
the paying public likes to see the best against the best
the paying public would love to see Sergio the GREAT vs Mayweather the second at 154
IT has everything to do with Sergio as this is ****THE**** FIGHT for him
but shickenAZZ is scart
just watch boxing , look at old films , keep yer mouth shut , quit hating on Pac , etc..........

I don't think Cotto wanted Martinez either as Martinez was calling him out for quite some time.

If Floyd gives him the requested amount of time to attempt to lose the weight in a healthy manner then my position is why not? I'd rather him fight Sergio at that weight than fight someone like Devon Alexander.
Just because you believe it would be pointless does not mean it would be.

Who would have thought a 38-year old with his style would still be able to perform at a high level?
He weighed in at 157 against Macklin and din't look like a stick like say someone like Chavez does at his weigh-ins. I realize Chavez is a lot younger, but it definitely does look doable for Martinez to reach 154. Maybe, it would require the loss of a bit of muscle mass, but I still think he can peform at a relatively high level if he is given the requested amount of time.
Who do you want to see him fight after Guerrero and Canelo (yet to fight a live body, so I don't see how you could be excited for this)? Bradley isn't happening since he is with Top Rank and would you be excited for someone like Devon Alexander?

47 have tried and 47 have failed. Martinez can run, but he can't hide.
It is always nice seeing a father with his son.

Then the winners fight each other. I hope Sergio doesn't waste his time by rematching Chavez.
i wish someone like mayweather or alvarez would be willing to fight him at 154 in late 2013, but i think those two will face each other (alvarez/cotto and mayweather/guerrero happens on may 2013). it's been an awesome career for martinez. he has his money and health intact, and did as much as he could trying to get the big names in the ring with him. he should really consider a final fight if nothing big is possible after the chavez rematch (if that does happen).
