Well I think the word duck gets throw around easily without too much thinking, a duck has to be reasonable and I just don't see anyone ducking Trout or K9 at the moment, If Canelo though chooses to fight Cotto now over trout then I can say he avoid a trout fight.

You're forgetting that Canelo was going to fight Victor Ortiz at that time, but obviously those plans didn't work out due to Ortiz's soul being taken by no other than the grim reaper himself, Josesito Lopez. Therefore, Lopez deserved every bit of the shot at the title that he got.

No I didn't forget that, I still think that Canelo fighting Ortiz was bad (not as bad as fighting Lopez, but still a bad fight) because there are better opponents at 154, guys like Lara, Trout, Molina or even Vanes.

Where do you draw the line? Do you think it's alright if he fights another guy that isn't a top 10 154lber? He decided to not fight in December just to demand a big fight in May, as if he had such a heavy work-load in 2012. He fought two over-matched opponents, what an accomplishment. If he isn't gonna fight relevant 154lb competition, then he might as well protect his 0 by not fighting.
