Comments Thread For: BoxingScene Staff Predictions: Adamek-Cunningham II

Tomasz Adamek and Steve Cunningham first waged war four years ago in a fight that served as one of the best of 2008. The bout also among the most memorable cruiserweight slugfests in the division’s still young history.

As is historically the case with most top cruiserweights, both fighters now compete in the heavyweight division. Fittingly, they once again compete against each other, with the rematch taking place this weekend at Sands Resort Casino in Bethlehem, PA (Saturday, NBC, 4PM ET).

I love these predications. It's like some of the writers are talking about completely different fighters.

This writer Sukachev has said some strange things in certain articles, and has shown in the past a clear bias. Hernandez is definitely not a "soft" puncher, just because he doesn't have a ton of KO's doesn't mean he can't punch. He's one of the biggest cruiserweights in the division and is extremely fast and explosive.

It's no secret that Cunningham has been dropped and doesn't have a great chin, but he's always gotten up and recovered rather quickly. So, unless he's completely shot, I just don't see a stoppage happening. It's weird, I used to think Adamek was underrated, but now it seems as though he's become overrated. And is badly overrated by some people.

I saw cunningham's last fight at hw, he didn't look too good and went the distance with a dude that other hw scrubs had stretched out in 5 rounds or less.

He is now giving up nearly 20 pounds to Adamek. KO/TKO win for adamek in rounds 7-10.....Cunningham faded pretty bad in his last fight too.

Ademek by ko within 5 or 6. Too big at heavyweight for a guy with a weak chin like SS.
