Floyd beats cotto at 154, well so did Trout. So Floyd is not doing anything no one else isnt doing. Hes just blending in with the crowd and not standing out. Didnt stop cotto like Pac as well. Pac stands out not Floyd.

Why didnt floyd rematch JMm and try come under the weight limit this time and see if JMM does any better? Pac is 5ft6 and a naturally skinny guy look at his early photos as evidence.

And no, no one would expect Pac to move up to 154 to beat Cotto, people would think hes an idiot and being a martyr.
Floyd get in the ring with sergio already.
Pac has already won a title at 154. He was scared of a Cotto rematch and tried to drain Cotto again with another phony assed catchweight bout for another catchweight title.

Fight at 154 Pac and defend the belt you "won" there.

Come on Hughey, you can do than that. Ranting about Mayweather and Marquez? Really? Can you really see people lining up to give him credit for such a match-up? Even now, since Marquez left Pacquiao kissing canvas, people would still detract from that match. This is a red herring and the fact you keep bringing it up shows you either can't answer the question or you can but it hurts you too much to be honest.

Anyway, considering the last result, why didn't Top Rank select Cotto as an opponent? Controversial result? Nope. Market calling for it? Nope. Did Cotto really chase it? Nope. Let me say it again. Top Rank were pulling their usual tricks to try and make Manny look good. If Pacquiao is so great that he beats Cotto at any weight, why request a catchweight? Mayweather did it, Trout managed it, but for Pacquiao it was too risky? In this case Pacquiao stands out from that crowd for not taking the challenge and everything that goes with it. He proved if he couldn't make as comfortable as possible for himself, no fight. Sorry but people DID expect Pacquiao to move to 154lbs if that's where the opponent HE wants is campaigning.

Again, you're showing bias and hypocrisy (nothing new there) by getting on one fighter's case for having not done something another fighter openly refused to do. A newsflash for you, every time a boxer fights it's risk. Having seen what happened to Pacquiao (totally unexpected) you would know this.

So. We know the reason why the Pacquiao/Cotto fight didn't happen is because Pacquiao couldn't have his trusty catchweight. We know that his trusty catchweight had nothing to do with the first result. For the zillionth time, why request a catchweight for an opponent you destroyed? Why refuse to fight wthout it?

(Seeing Hughey tapdance like Fred Astaire on this is priceless!)

Pac has given rematches to people he destroyed so thats better than anyting Floyd has ever done.

        .
You think Pacquiao offering rematches to guys he already destroyed is a good thing?
He and his team are looking for the easy money fights.
The reason they picked Marquez over Bradley was money, they said so themselves.
Now both Marquez and Bradley were moved up in weight to fight Pacquiao,so that's his last 3 fights
Floyd moved up in weight to fight Cotto but your still acting like Floyd is a coward for not fighting at 160 but its ok for Manny to look for cw's and bring guys up from lower divisions,Rios probably the next guy they force up
Manny's career since the Cotto fight has been embarrassing
If Floyd fights Guerrero or Canelo, its still better than Pacquiao's fights with Clottey,Margarito or Mosley

For me Cotto was at his best and natural weight against Pac, regardless of what people say.

And Floyd is great but he ducks everyone man, fight Martinez at 154. Supposedly his health was too important against Pac SMH.

Pacs fights often, is FOTD (so obviously do something right) so dont have to keep climbing mountains, people needed to play catch up. No one expects of Pac to fight Miguel at 154 that is dumb. ONly haters say why didnt he fight him there.

Floyd who fights little, needs to climb everest and take the risks and do something. People who fight often arent expected to go higher and higher burn the candle at both ends so to speak and burn out.

Get off your arse Floyd and fight sergio.

Martinez-Mayweather is THE fight atm....but it would look lame if Sergio didn't handle Kid Chocolate and 3G before he leaves the 160 throne...Serg is my dude and its plenty work in his own division atm....plus Floyd aint his best above 147....his critics know that

The reason people ask Manny to fight cotto at 154 is because Manny tried to set up another CW fight with him before he was turned down. If Manny wants to fight Cotto, which clearly he did, he should allow cotto to come in at the max weight, which is what floyd did.

Thats what a real champion would've done in that situation. But hey, cotto said no and Manny fought JMM again. SO it was a win win for everyone, especially becuase of the way the fight, and Manny, went down.
