********* has learned that undefeated middleweight contender Jermain Taylor could be added to the undercard of the world middleweight championship fight between Bernard Hopkins and Howard Eastman, on Feb 19th, most likely at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Taylor would likely be fighting 20-0 (11) Tarvis Simms. Simms is the brother of WBA jr. middleweight regular champion Travis Simms.
Taylor added to Hopkins-Eastman?

That would be great to see B-Hp and Taylor on the same card. It would set up the Legend to make his final stand against the young hungry contender. Taylor is really putting together fights, kind of like they used to - he is going to be really good for boxing I think. Too many of these guys come out once or twice a year, twice should be the least a champ should be able to fight and retain his title. You look at guys like Robbinson and Armstrong and they fought all the time. That was one reason boxing was such a big sport. Great for Jermain, great for boxing.Comment

If Taylor keeps fighting and improving like he has been i think he will be on top by year end. I think he could have a shot at b-hop.Comment
