    really? by the sounds of it Benn spent his entire youth either getting beat up or beating up National Front members.

    Eubank lived in the Bronx for a while, but from what he said he stayed inside most of the time not wanting to go outside...

      ok reading up on it Eubank did have a tough start in life, both did.

      That isnt the toughness he's talking about in the article though.

        A brilliant time in boxing. I watched many of their early fights & many of the title fights & was at Old Trafford for the rematch.

        And Eubank is from (one of) my old manor in SE London & Benn is a fellow West Ham fan so I loved them both. They were the perfect foil for each other in the way that Ali & Frazier were.

        And I understand where Eubank is coming from in this article. Not sure I agree with him 100% but if that's part of what drove him then fair enough. It's a little like the hunger/anger/envy that drove Hagler. But a toned down British version.
