does'nt really matter coz floyd wont have much of a size advantge anyways . .my same reason why pac vs marquez 3,4 could've happened at any weghtclass (from 135 and up)and did'nt matter...
Will Mayweather force Guererro up to 154?

Well your gunna lose the bet , it depends on how wet you are as to how much you can spit with gum in how much time , its as old as the hills yet you dont about it .
The point was that is it possible to come in lighter than your weigh-in , the answer is a resounding YES , and so you lose , no second prize kid you lose !
A 2 second search
Step 5
Carry around a spit bottle in the hours before your weigh-in. Sometimes it comes to this when you are trying to make weight. You are 1 or 2 lb. away from making your weight. If you chew gum for 3 hours or so and spit regularly in a bottle to get rid of the fluid, you can lose the weight.Comment

#1) The weigh-in for Jones vs Ruiz took place 2 days before the fight.
#2) Ruiz lost 2lb, not the claimed 4lb that Floyd lost.
#3) Ruiz was fat, and at 227lb, him losing 2lb in 2 days is much more plausible than an extremely lean fit Floyd Mayweather losing 4lb over night.
I don't get why people are so vested in this idea that Floyd fought Cotto while weighing 147lb...
Is it blasmphemy to believe the scales, and this history of basically every other fighter ever and assume the he weighed 151lb or more during the fight?Comment

We dont know what Floyd weighed thats the point , your arguing an opinion with NO evidence , did he even say he weighed 147 , I thought he said something like he was closer to WW , can you put up where he said 147 Id like to see the context he said it in ?#1) The weigh-in for Jones vs Ruiz took place 2 days before the fight.

Pretty much.
147, 154, it's not like Mayweather balloons up like JCC JR.
If it's a point of contention of why Mayweather beats Guerrero by wide UD in the aftermath of the fight, not a shocker.
Same shit, different toilet.Comment

yeah but after seeing guerrero eat berto's punches like m&ms im not so sure ..my money would still be for floyd (would be rooting againsts him tho) but something tells me guerrero can pull it off.. tbh , i dont think floyd punches harder than berto ..it's pretty intriguing fight which was not so much to me not too long ago...Last edited by puga; 12-21-2012, 02:11 AM.Comment

The difference is Floyd is pin sharp and lands when you least expect it that changes the power equations in a fight , the people that have fought him all said he has good power , I will bet you that if he fights Floyd that Robert will say afterwards that Floyd hits harder than Berto , plus Berto power was smothered by Guerrero because Robert didnt want to be at the extension of Bertos power , people way underestimate Floyds power and his physical strength because of his style , I think Floyd will give Robert a flogging he is a class above Guerrero .yeah but after seeing guerrero eat berto's punches like m&ms im not so sure ..my money would still be for floyd (would be rooting againsts him tho) but somebody tells me guerrero can pull it off.. tbh , i dont think floyd punches harder than berto ..it's pretty intriguing fight which was not so much to me not too long ago...Comment

Mayweathers calling card isn't power punching, though. Never was, even at 130 and 135.yeah but after seeing guerrero eat berto's punches like m&ms im not so sure ..my money would still be for floyd (would be rooting againsts him tho) but somebody tells me guerrero can pull it off.. tbh , i dont think floyd punches harder than berto ..it's pretty intriguing fight which was not so much to me not too long ago...
Berto probably cracks harder them him.
Hey, I'm for any Californian fighter doing well, and succeeding.
But I just don't think Guerrero is on that level.
Too many things that Mayweather has over Guerrero to see him pulling out a win.
I have been wrong before, so take it for what it's worth.Comment
