If Juan Marquez is talking about 1 more fight you know it's a fight with the legend and all time great Manny the "Pacman" Pacquaio. Juan ma marques doesn't want nothing to do with any of the bosses at 140-147. His hold agenda is to face Pacman once more and put him to bed again. Juan ma marques is obsessed with Pacman and he wants to erase anyone's doubts that the punch he landed on Pacman was lucky. So the only way to prove it is do it again. Marquez also wants to erase any doubts in his head that it was a lucky punch and desperately wants to do it again. So he could put some closure in his own head. The only downfall for that is that people will always say that he hired a drug cheat to help him beat Pac. Plus he never knocked out or even dropped Pacman when he was in his prime. And now all of a sudden he finds what it takes to do that, with dude in his corner. Juan marques will never have the legacy of the Pacman. And will never be rated close to Pacman in all time great status. Pacman gained belts in seven weight classes and ruled the welterweight division with an IRON FIST from 9-12. And also had the #1 contender for his CROWN Fraud Roidweather Jr. running real fast from him. Those are things that marques can never claim. The only thing that he can claim is he beat an older Pacman that had lost a step or two and was in the twilight of his career. Marquez should be more concern about building up his legacy. And seeing if he could even come close to Pacman in the legacy department. Unless JMM is happy with what he's accomplished by being a 3 division champ or whatever, and playing second fiddle to the great Pacman.

we will see. Im betting he will retire!
even if he does fight again i doubt it will be pacman. he just took pac to the cleaners. so there isnt anything else to prove. he cant do any better than he did so why would he fight him again? i dont think a bit of extra money will do it for him. if anything id bet he would go for a strap at welterweight to add another division but other than that, what else can he do?

            marquez uncertain

Marquez knows fully well that he will not have a chance against Rios, Bradley, Cotto, and any other contender. He only knows how to fight Pacquiao, and realizded that that's where the money is no matter if he wins or loses. This time he won, and he is tempted to run away with the victory and call it quits. Boxers at their highest prime would never think of retirement, only those who deteriorated, so why at his peak is he thinking of retirement? Because Bradley will kick his arse, or even Rios, and maybe Guerrero. Marquez will probably fight another Likar Ramos if he does fight again.

He's 39 years old and will never top what he did to Manny. He should go out on top and be happy with what money he has made.

Yeah it doesn't matter what Marquez or his wife say about retirement. Arum's going to make that 5th rematch happen.

                    every fighters dream is to

leave boxing with a great win, and he accomplished that. He's 39/40, has damn near all the money he could ask for and his brain/senses seem to be fine. Ride out in the sunset Juan, youve done yourself, your familia and your country good. Besides, he's a great commentator and could still have a career in boxing if he wanted to!

This has been the win Marquez chased for his whole life. I can see him retiring off of it. He has had a lot of great wins but this one will define his whole career for sure. If he does fight on then he should just go for another title or 2 then call it a day.
