miguel is a good dude that made a bad decision to fight Trout. He needs some smarter people on his team. His last 2 fights he took more punishment than people realize. Hopeflly he takes a off until a May/June tuneup than Canelo later in the year.

Those alcapurrias and bacalaitos are too tasty bro...

I went to the Cotto-Trout fight and had great seats...and watched it again last night. Seeing it again made me realize that it was a really good fight. People say Trout dominated, but I think that's a joke. I think Trout definitely won, but the rounds were close. I really admire Cotto's willingness to fight bigger people, but, as so many people have already said, he's not dynamic enough at this point in his career to handle a guy like Trout. He fought respectably, but it wasn't good enough. No shame in that.

He is actually a lot better but he still takes to many shots and his chin hasn't been tested since then so who knows!

Totally agree, trout didnt dominate but he won the fight. i had it a draw after the 10th round and trout clearly won the last 2 rounds. most of the first 10 rounds were close. trout was just too big and strong for cotto to hurt. trout is a good fighter in his prime and is one of the best if the best at 154. atleast cotto had the balls to face him unlike canelo.

Cotto is done, he better retire
he did better than he was supposed to against Floyd, big deal
Cotto isn't a top level guy anymore and out of his depth at JMW
don't think he can make WW anymore either
he's not beating any top guys so he should just quit

High risk/Low Reward taker is Cotto's middle name.He doesn't hide behind any promoter's shoulder nor any belt organization's skirt. No shame in what he's accomplished in his career esp @140,147. I still want to see the Canelo fight as a final **** even though Trout does deserve it more.

He needs to come to the realization that he is not the fighter he used to be. Either retire or fight guys you can beat. Canelo will hurt this guy bad right now.

Nothing wrong with taking sometime to decide what his next step should be. He's faught tough competition through out his career. If he decides he wants to continue he can still make money fighting a few fights he can win.
Ex. Berto, Victor Ortiz, maybe even Timothy Bradley.
