Manny JMM had big name status , hype and drama , but as a fight it was good but nothing special , your voting on emotion not on actual fight .

Are you kidding me? Did you see the fight? It was the best fight out of the the 4. Probably the fight of the year. Both went down, both came out swinging and one got knocked out. Boxing doesn't get any better than that. Name another fight in 2012 with the same adrenaline and ending.

Nonito has a very good case. 4 wins against top ten ranked opponents is pretty steller. However, Marquez has a win against a top 2 or 3 P4P opponent, and an outstanding knock out at that. Also, Nishioka and Arce retired immediately. Not to void those wins but it's worth pointig out for something subjective like FOTY. I think Marquez would run away with it if he fought someone better known than Serhiy Fedchenko before Pacquiao. I wouldn't have a problem with either as they have both had a fantastic year.

According to test results Marquez was clean. HBO favors pac because he showers them with gifts. 24/7 exposed how pac gave away 2 mil dollars worth of boxing tickets to celebs like mark walburg, Artest, MJohnson and politicians like Romney for free. Do you really think Romney was a fan of boxing or big fan of pac? If pac gave free tickets and bought my friendship with expensive gifts, then I too would be saying "marquez is juicing"... just for the free gifts off course LOL
