Should Pacquiao replace Freddie Roach with a different trainer?

With Khan leaving Roach and Chavez Jr looking likely to follow in his footsteps, will Pacquiao benefit from having a different trainer following his knockout loss to Marquez? In their 4 fights together, it seemed Marquez was the one who steadily improved while Pacquiao didn't make any great advances. This could be considered a sign that Roach ran out of ideas because he lacks the necessary technical know-how. In the last training camp Roach was even interviewed saying that he'll leave the game plan up to Manny because Manny knew more about boxing than him at this stage.

Pacquiao is only 34, it's not impossible that he could box on for another 5 years or more. Is it time to switch trainers now, learn some new skills and techniques or is it too late to change, should he stick with Roach until the final bell?

It's time for Pac to decide whether he wants to be a boxer or a congressman, but either way it's a little late to be switching trainers. He's also been a pro more than half of his life, might be time to hang em up.

        YES!

But he won't do it though, too loyal to Roach for what he did for him during the Murad Muhammad case.

They should bring an assitant in like Michael Moorer, but Roach got jealous, and kicked him out cause Moorer was getting too much credit,
Roach is a jealous guy, he hates anyone who gets more praise and attention to him, its why he hated on Ariza out of nowhere because Ariza was getting too much airtime. Moorer would have helped Pacman improve, remember it was Moorer who helped Pac come up with the strategy for the Hatton ko.

Pacman should get with Roy Jones Jr, Roy seems to know Pacquiao's style so well and even when you watch the fights its almost like he is coaching Manny from the side.

no.. at this stage of his career its better for him to stick with the man who knows him best. he doesnt have that many fights left in him so trying to change too much would most likely have more of a negative effect imo.

he needs to change his approach a bit, there are certainly things he needs to improve but it think roach can teach him or atleast push him in the right direction. trying to go in a whole other direction might make him lose what made him so good in the first place.

a few years ago i would have said yes, but right now just stick with roach. i dont think manny has more than a year or two left in boxing anyways.

That was what Roach told the media, Pacman liked /Moorer and he was spending too much time with Moorer, Moorer would go to Pacman's morning runs and was really getting close to Manny, Roach saw Moorer as a threat. Especially when Moorer brought up Roach's illness saying he had Roach's back and would help train his fighters.

You do know Roach wants all the accolades for himself right? Mike Tyson called Roach and asked Roach for a job, he asked Freddie can I help train MAnny Pacquiao and Roach told him no. You know why? because Roach knew if Tyson was in camp it would bring more attention to Mike Tyson and Pacuiao than him on 247.

Everything about Roach is ego. It would have been awesome to see Tyson teach Manny his head movement and cutting off the ring.

Roach is also one of the most arrogant guys in boxing.

It's to late for PAC to change trainer now lol!! And I thought PAC looked great in the 4th fight before going to bed early so I'm not sure what the topic starter is tryna get at. It wasnt like PAC was getting dominated.
