Wow, 2012 was beyond ****ty for Freddie. Insane really.
But I guess he's not too upset over this, didn't exactly sound like JCCjr was his favorite fighter. Skipping workouts, training in the middle of the night etc.

i am a fan of freddie roach but if a fighter wants a new trainer I dont see why its such a big deal. if he thinks another can make him a better fighter or maybe more focused why not give it a try. I just dont see the big deal in changing trainers. the wild card is kinda the celebrity of boxing gyms. I could see fighters being distracted by all thatLast edited by Cinci Champ; 12-19-2012, 10:46 AM.

Although the fighters hold a lot of responsibility, the unpleasant truth is the signs are there that Roach is not training his guys the defense they need, and that his worsening health is ruining both his physical and mental abilities to improve fighters.
Nobody likes that realisation, and it's not total blame. Total blame is bad taste and he is still a great trainer. But I don't blame any boxer for making the difficult to decsion to try someone, and something else. Especially when the defense of all of his top boxers are getting exposed more, not less, over time.

ya i agree but i dont think its his training i think its other things. distractions and such. if you look at the match ups from his fighters this year its really not as big a deal as you would think. i do think he has gotten maybe a little to hungry for knockouts cause of the money, and he does teach that aggressive style. i think hell figure it out this will only make him better in the endLast edited by Cinci Champ; 12-19-2012, 10:51 AM.
