Well, depending on what he means by out cold, very few of those guys actually were. Duran wasn't out cold against Hearns in the same way as Pac and guys like that were. He was conscious the whole time, trying to get up, and was up and walking again before the ref would have finished counting to ten.

Walcott and Pac were out cold. Jones wasn't from memory...maybe he was against Johnson or nearly was against Johnson. As close as it comes. He couldn't even move his head until the 10 count was up.

I mean, are we talking about Pac/Hatton out cold or being KTFO for the ten count but still conscious? Guys like Duran, Lewis, Hearns, Jones etc were knocked out in a boxing sense, but they weren't knocked out cold ala Pac/Walcott/Graham/Hatton. Just examples, not saying Graham and Hatton are ATG's at all.

Thank you. These fanboys need to **** off.

Anyways, "out cold" as in Pacquiao'd or Hatton'd is pretty rare for "ATG" fighters. It can happen though. I think "knocked the **** out" is significantly dramatic enough, though. Sure, Pacquiao was out cold, but Hearns got KTFO by Hagler to where he stood up basically on noodle legs and hardly knew who he was.

Max Koed Louis in their first fight with a devasting win! Counting the Marciano fight is a bad low blow to Louis he was far far from his best!! Most inteligent people don't refer to that unfortunate situation as a meaningfull loss! He lost nothing but the little tiny dignity the goverment left to him. Marciano was in the locker room crying as Holmes did for Ali!!
The Schmeling KO was very real and Max was a hell of a fighter back then!

out cold is to loose conscienciousness.

you can be counted out without moving and still be semi-conscience
                either way...........10 your out!

ezzard charles was all but unconscious for a brief period at the hands of joe walcott. similar to the damage done to duran when he fought hearns. instincts are what got them back up. they were all but unconscious.

This should count more than one for the amount of times but RJJ seems to have an off button.
