Ehh, I wouldn't want to see this fight. I'd much rather see Broner go down to 140 after his fight with Paulie and fight the winner of Matthysse vs. Garcia. If he does, however, opt to stay at 147, a fight with Alexander, Khan, or Ortiz would be fun to watch too.
BUT
If I had to pick, I'd pick Cotto as of now. We don't really know how Broner's power and speed are going to translate to a higher weight class. Broner's defense isn't exactly amazing, and I'd like to believe that Cotto can still perform at an elite level.Comment

Who would have thought that Paulie would be the one to expose Broner...aside from Quintero and Ponce of course.
I don't know though, Broner vs Cotto at a catch weight of 150 is a tough one. I think I'd slightly favor Broner.Comment

To bother Cotto, you have to be a pressure fighter with a punch and you have to throw a lot to make him uncomfortable. Broner would offer none of that, so I don't see what reason there might be to pick Broner, unless Cotto is completely shot and I don't think that is the case. Styles make fights and Trout was a boxer with solid skills and a huge size advantage. Overall, it was a bad choice for Cotto. Broner is completely different from Trout.
I think Cotto wins this one either by decision or late TKO.Comment

Broner doesnt apply pressure for 12 rounds. And, hes not on his toes. Cotto would eaily outbox him. Broner would eat jabs all night. And cotto is physically stronger. Even at this stage i got Cotto winning. A prime cotto would maul him.Comment
