Boxing on CBS Ratings: "Boxing does ok" Rating Inside

Boxing does OK. Boxing, on CBS for the first time in 15 years, drew a respectable 1.3 overnight Saturday -- and retained 90% of the audience from a Butler-Purdue basketball game that was its lead-in.

Man, imagine if they put an actual name on. a 1.3 rating is roughly 2.3m viewers. To put that into perspective, UFC on during primetime at UFC on Fox 3 & 4 did the ssame rating. funny thing is this boxing show was at 1PM.

I think the real positive number was retaining 90% of the bball crowd. That right there shows there is interest in boxing. Imagine if they put a decent name on there. Like the Angulo fight.

I'm sorry, but the ball was dropped by putting an 118 pounder as the headliner for that broadcast. Yes Leo can be exciting, but the higher the weight the better for casual fans.
