Seriously doubt it. More likely it will be Josesito Lopez
Sources close to the situation have advised BoxingScene.com that Josesito Lopez (30-5, 18KOs) has emerged as the early frontrunner to face former champion Amir

Even though I've never been very impressed with Ortiz, he gets the K.O. unless Hunter fights for Khan.

Good crossroads fight, GBP's problem is good for boxing fans but bad for their fighters. They love putting their fighters in risky fights. This is a great match up of two fighters that haven't really lived up to their expectations. I'd rather see Ortiz-Lopez II at 147, and Khan vs Khabib but I don't mind seein Khan-Lopez or Khan-Ortiz. Ortiz knocks Khan out and Lopez is a very dangerous fight for Khan at this stage. How about Khan-Peterson II.

I agree, Peterson's his best option. Gets to possibly exact revenge, and he's already survived Peterson once. Ortiz can knock Khan out, and Lopez very well could or at least hurt him and make it a dangerous fight. Khan should give himself more time under the new trainer before taking on any real dangerous opponents. Peterson's solid but I don't think he'll KO Khan. Plus he hasn't fought in over a year.

Ortiz does have the power to rock Khans world, but he himself has a even ****tier defense than Khan and tastes the canvas when he is hit hard

When someone throws fast combos, he freezes and just stands there like a dummy caught in headlights.

Khan vs Ortiz could end within 3 rounds, either way via Knock Out

If Ortiz lands flush on Khan, we will see the chicken dance, but if Ortiz walks on to a heavy shot he cud be toast.

Ortiz needs to sort his defense out and stop walking into punches, he'd be deadly

Amazing how many threads Amir gets on here, considering how his career has gone.
