EU heavyweight champion Richard Towers is sidelined with medical problems and has been forced to postpone his defence against Francesco Pianeta that was tentatively set for January 20 with SES promoting. No site had been announced.

A new date will, as the EBU put it, be announced in conjunction with the recovery of Towers and in compliance with the foreseen terms.

He must have that super flu. Pulling out of a fight with Lucas Browne this week and he's still sidelined now.till mid January... makes sense.
