well Khan is keeping his options open, and Welter is something to consider

at 140 he's got Garcia and Lopez Khan might not get Garcia next, thus the possibility of a bout with Lopez

^ so that seems likely for Amir Khan's immediate future because true once Khan is up at Welter ... done deal

**but he does have to weigh his options as Danny Garcia still has to get by Judah in February

This would be a terrible fight. Khan already beat Paulie, and Paulie IMO lost his last fight to Pablo Cesar Cano and shouldn't move down in weight anyway. Khan didnt prove anything beating a lightweight in Carlos Molina who has absolutely NO power in his own weight class. I wish Khan would fight Rios, rematch Garcia, or fight Lucas Mathysse, ANYBODY CREDIBLE. Khan hasn't changed much in his style of aggressiveness, maybe being a lil more patient in there with Molina who did not pose as a threat, but put in there with a pressure fighter with some pop in his punch, and I can see Khan playing the canvas reminiscing of Prescott and Garcia. ---My first post

He is a LW and should make his name there. Guys like Peterson, Garcia, Mathysse, Lopez, maybe even a maidana rematch. He could also go for some of the weaker champions. But I want to see him take at least a lopez fight or the likes before squaring up against the best boys again.
I'm sorry but if Khan keeps fighting the likes of Carlos Molina and fighters similar to that, he will never be, even remotely, thought of as a good fighter. Until he fights Garcia again, or Mathysse, or Lopez he has no credibilty. And your right, a rematch with Maidana would answer a lot of questions. As far as him being a LW, is absolutely ridiculous. His frame, height etc will allow him to be a full fledge welter weight and beyond, he did brag about beating Pacquiao up in sparring all the time and he is a ww, so why not walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. The only thing that wont carry over is his glass chin. I guarantee LWs like Lopez, Broner, and Demarco would destroy Khan and shatter his whole ****. His shot is NOW or NEVER. Facing weaker Champions? what kinda talk is that? whats that say about Khan and his fanboys?
