Virgil Hunter - An Enigma

First of all I think Virgil Hunter is a good trainer and all, But I find him painfully slow to listen to, He really is very softly spoken I dont know if its laziness to speak up or just that he is a shy person.

Perhaps he is trying to go for the sophisticated look with the Ray Ban black rim glasses and being softly spoken, but then he contrasts that with his Pitbulls that he has and the rough neighbour hood he lives in, He looks like a cross between Carlton Banks and gangster rapper. I dont know if anyone else see's this paradox.

Where does Hunter reside?

He's seen a lot and he has been through a lot...He was a probation officer before he became a trainer. Whatever he is, he has helped Andre Ward become the best fighter in the world who looks unbeatable any ANYONE.

I notice that Shah Khan, Amir's dad takes several jabs at Roach saying that Roach could barely speak a sentence in the corner let alone shout instructions to Khan from ringside and that Roach taught Khan no defence at all. It used to be Freddie this and Freddie that, Now its Virgil this and Virgil that!

I only partially understood him when he mentioned how boxing fans who always want brawls are the descendants of cowardly spectators for gladiator matches.

Best line from him so far is how even brawl loving fans would rather hit and not get hit over get hit and hit if it was their own a$$ on the line.
