If Donaire retired today would he be in the hall of fame?

So the HOF is based on being exciting? Then why are you disagreeing with Arce and Vic getting in?

      donaires not in the HOF.

you need to get around old school boxing trainers & experts to help you better understand.
What do you mean, as in he's not getting into the HOF?! Or hasn't gotten in yet, but you don't need old school trainers to explain that.

Why isn't Ward in then, he also had that awesome Augustus war? Shou;d we also expect inductions for Augustus, Pemberton and Sheika?

It's no so hot, he's comparing multiple defense champs to guys that never won a single title. I mean, Bruseles. And omitting a bunch of decent names for Donaire. But the guy sports a Canelo avatar, and thinks Ortiz is a p4p resume enhancer, so whatever

it's based on multiple things (greatest memorable fights, competition, quality. many times even population influence. IE mike tyson or ali) ...........arce doesn't have a fight that comes CLOSE to ward vs gatti nore does vic.

          not sure if serious?

at this point he's not a HOF

in the future who knows..........but as of right now he's not.

ward is something like gatti but ward has less memorable moments & grueling fights.

gatti got in based on memorable moments & the hearts he inspired across the world.

So only people with fights as exciting as Gatti v. Ward get in?

He's a stone cold lock, first ballot. Forget Gatti, you just had Virgil Hill and Mark Johnson inducted. There goes your requirement of HOF scalps or ATG fights.

Vazquez, Narvaez, Sydorenko, and Arce didn't really mean s**t to me.

Vazquez never beat a top 10 fighter, Narvaez was clearly fighting in a weight class he didn't belong in, Sydorenko wasn't a good fight by the time Donaire got to him, and Arce hadn't done anything since beating the unproven Vazquez over 18 months prior, and was also a tiny guy for the weight class.

Donaire has wins over Darchinyan, Mthalane, H. Marquez, Montiel, Mathebula, and Nishioka.
